Slough Satellites

Slough Satellites is an exciting community collections project which places artefacts and their stories in the heart of the local community. Slough Museum is supporting community groups to become Community Curators and curate their own exhibition ‘satellites’.

With each group curating 2 exhibitions at their satellite, the first of their exhibitions will display objects chosen from Slough Museum’s unique collection. Objects will be displayed and interpreted by the community curators. The second exhibition displays the group’s own chosen objects, with both exhibitions sharing the histories of Slough they want to tell!

Community Curators at Aik Saath, Herschel Park Volunteers, Kinara Asian Women’s Refuge, Slough Police Cadets, The Langley Academy and Transformers Youth Group are curating these amazing satellites!
