Kinara Asian Women’s Refuge
Women and children at the Kinara Asian Women’s Refuge worked with the Museum to explore local history and how Slough has changed over time. As many of them had recently moved to Slough, they explored its history through an ‘Explorer Trail’ around the town familiarising them with local landmarks and exploring the Museum’s unique photographic collection.
After comparing the way Slough looks today with historical photographs from over the years, the group chose their favourite photographs from the museum’s collection to put on temporary display in their residence.
The women and children at Kinara had great fun exploring exciting places in Slough whilst completing the Slough Explorer Trail! Why don’t you have a go at trying the trail for yourself? You can download and print it by clicking the link below!
